Overview

My app is an AI calorie counter for iPhone that turns meal photos into estimated calories and macros. It brings meal logging, personalized calorie goals, water tracking, meal history, weekly summaries, favorite meals and intermittent fasting into one app. I built and launched it as a bootstrapped solo project in February 2026. The app is available in 18 languages and earns revenue through in-app subscriptions.

Key highlights:

Live iPhone app launched in February 2026, localized in 18 languages.

34 users reported by the founder.

$156 all-time revenue.

$48 revenue in the last 30 days and $40 MRR as of October 5, 2026.

Reported profit margin: 45%.

Most sales have come from organic discovery.

Team

The app is operated by one founder, based in Turkey. I handle product development, releases and day-to-day operations. My full-time job leaves me with limited time to grow the app, which is why I am selling.

Tech Stack

The mobile app is built with React Native, Expo and TypeScript. RevenueCat manages in-app subscriptions, Mixpanel supports product analytics, and Cloudflare is part of the infrastructure. The product includes AI food-photo analysis and localization in 18 languages.

Marketing and growth

Most sales have come from organic discovery through the App Store. The app supports 18 languages, giving a buyer a foundation for localized marketing. Potential growth work includes App Store optimization, improving onboarding conversion and testing targeted campaigns.

Return on investment

Using the latest $48 monthly revenue and the reported 45% margin, simple payback would be approximately 97 months if performance remained unchanged. This is an illustrative calculation, not a forecast, and excludes transaction costs, taxes and new investment. A buyer could work to improve revenue through App Store optimization, localized marketing and better onboarding, but future growth is not guaranteed.

Startup assets

The app consists of the product assets below. The exact transfer scope, backend arrangements and handover support are to be confirmed by the seller before submission.

One live iPhone app.

App interface and product content localized in 18 languages.

React Native/Expo mobile codebase, subscription setup and app-specific product assets; inclusion and transfer details pending confirmation.

Risks

It is a small, early-stage app with a limited user base, so revenue can vary significantly month to month. It relies on Apple distribution, subscription tooling and AI analysis services. Food-photo nutrition results are estimates. Buyers should review subscription retention, operating costs, App Store transfer requirements and backend dependencies during due diligence, then test growth initiatives with controlled budgets.

Summary

My app offers a live, monetized iPhone product in the health and fitness category, with 18-language localization and an existing subscription setup. It is suited to a buyer who can maintain the app and invest time in distribution and conversion improvements. I am selling because my full-time job limits the time I can give it.

✅ $156 TTM revenue

✅ 34 customers

✅ Business model: IAP

✅ Built with React Native, TypeScript, Cloudflare

Business Model
B2C iPhone app with auto-renewing in-app subscriptions through RevenueCat. Free download with 7 free scans for eligible new users. US plans: $4.99/month or $19.99/year; regional prices and offers vary.
Target Audience
iPhone users who want easier calorie and macro tracking, including people managing weight, fitness goals, hydration and intermittent fasting.
Asking Price Reasoning
The price reflects a live, monetized iPhone app, 18-language localization and an existing subscription setup, plus the time invested in development. Revenue is modest today; this is an asking price open to discussion during due diligence.
Reason for Selling
My full-time job leaves limited time to maintain and grow this app. Most sales have come organically, and I would like a buyer with time for product development and marketing to take it forward.
Growth Opportunity
Improve App Store keywords, screenshots and conversion; market in the 18 supported languages; optimize onboarding and subscription conversion; test targeted campaigns and retention improvements with small budgets.
