Overview

Startup description

My startup is an AI-powered product photography and listing tool built for Etsy and small e-commerce sellers. A seller uploads one ordinary product photo and the tool generates studio-quality lifestyle images plus a complete, SEO-optimised Etsy listing title, description, and tags in under a minute.

I built it after noticing that handmade and print-on-demand sellers lose sales not because of their product, but because of poor photos and weak listing copy. Professional product photography costs $50–200 per shoot; my platform does it for a few dollars in credits.

The product is fully built, live, and processing real paying customers today.

Key highlights:

Annual revenue: $96 ARR

Monthly revenue: $8MRR

Annual profit: $85

Business margin: ~85%+

Total signups: 20

Monthly running cost: ~AI API credits only depends on users

Team

Solo founder. I handle product, engineering, design, and support end-to-end. There are no employees, contractors, or co-founders, so there is nothing to unwind - the handover is clean.

Tech Stack

Frontend/Backend: Next.js 16 (App Router, Turbopack) with TypeScript

Styling: Tailwind CSS

Database: MongoDB

Auth: Clerk

Payments & subscriptions: Polar (credit-based system already implemented)

AI: FLUX Kontext for image generation, GPT-4o Vision for product analysis and listing copy

Media: ImageKit

Hosting: Vercel

Marketing and growth

Distribution so far has been entirely organic and founder-led - X (Twitter) build-in-public posts. There has been no paid acquisition, no SEO content programme, and no affiliate or influencer channel.

This is the honest gap in the business, and also the opportunity: the product works and converts, but it has never had a real distribution push behind it.

Revenue and profit

MRR: $8

ARR: $96

CAC: ~$0 (Driven completely through organic search and forum traffic)

LTV: High relative to price point, as users typically convert via small recurring monthly.

Margins: >85% gross margin since server costs are practically zero (runs vercel hobby plan).

Return on investment

At $8 MRR this business does not pay for itself passively today, and I won't frame it as though it does. The return here is effort-based.

At the asking price, a buyer needs roughly $120–130 MRR to break even within 12 months. On the current plan, that's about 6–7 additional paying customers - a distribution gap, not a product gap. Payments, credit system, and AI pipeline are all built and working; nobody has actively sold this yet.

Startup assets

Full codebase

.app domain

All existing customers and subscription details

Database customers

30 days of free handover support and technical onboarding.

Risks

Platform dependency. The platform's value is tied to Etsy sellers. If Etsy ships its own AI photo or listing tools, demand drops. Mitigation: the underlying pipeline is platform-agnostic - the same product works for Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Instagram sellers with copy changes only, no rebuild.

AI model and API dependency. The product relies on FLUX Kontext and OpenAI. Price increases, deprecations, or quality changes affect unit economics directly. Mitigation: generation calls are abstracted behind a single service layer, so swapping to Replicate, fal.ai alternatives, or newer models is a contained change. Costs are usage-based, so they never exceed revenue at scale.

Summary

My product is a fully built, live AI product that solves a real and expensive problem for e-commerce sellers: professional product photos cost $50–200 per shoot, and most small sellers simply go without. The platform produces studio-quality images plus a complete SEO-optimised listing from a single uploaded photo.

Two reasons this is worth buying:

It's finished and it works. This isn't an idea or a prototype. Auth, credit system, subscription billing, AI generation pipeline, and hosting are all live and functioning. Building this from scratch is several weeks of work for an experienced developer, plus the cost of getting the AI prompting and image pipeline right.

Payments are validated. Real customers have entered card details and paid for this product. Small revenue, but it proves the entire chain works: people find it, understand it, and pay. That's the step most side projects never reach.

I'm selling because I'm a solo builder with several products and I can't give it the sustained attention it needs. It deserves an owner who will actually sell it.

✅ $8 TTM revenue

✅ 2 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS

✅Built with Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB

Expenses
fal.ai / FLUX image generation: depends on users usage (usage-based);
OpenAI GPT-4o Vision: depends on users usage (usage-based);
MongoDB Atlas: Free;
Vercel: $0/mo (Hobby plan);
Clerk: $0/mo (free tier);
ImageKit: Free;
Domain: ($12/year);
Total: ~$5-10/mo.
Business Model
Credit-based SaaS with subscriptions via Polar. Users buy credits that are consumed per image generation and per listing write-up. Paid basic plans start at $4/month, Costs are usage-based (AI API calls), so margin holds as volume grows.
Target Audience
Etsy sellers.
Asking Price Reasoning
Priced on replacement value, not a revenue multiple - at $8 MRR a multiple is meaningless. $1,300 buys a finished, live product.
Reason for Selling
I'm a solo builder running multiple products, and this one needs sustained marketing attention that I can't give it alongside everything else. The product works and has paying customers, but it has never had anyone actively selling it.
Growth Opportunity
The product is built and converting; nothing has ever been actively sold. Untouched channels: Etsy/POD Reddit communities (where existing customers came from organically), direct outreach to Etsy shops with visibly poor photos, SEO content around Etsy listings.
30 days free support from seller
Competitors
I only have one competitor: Pixoria.app.
Tech Stack
TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Next.js, Vercel, MongoDB, ChatGPT, Clerk.
