Overview

Startup description

My product is an AI tool that turns ideas into LinkedIn-ready infographics in seconds. You describe the post you want, and it generates a designed infographic you can refine through conversation, like working with a designer, but instantly. It removes the parts that usually slow people down: 100+ templates to start from, a brand kit that keeps your colors, fonts, and logo consistent across every post, and a clean high-res PNG export that's ready to publish.

I started it because I kept needing infographics for my own LinkedIn content and found the existing options either too slow, designing each one by hand in Canva, or too generic. So I built the tool I wanted: something that gets you from a rough idea to a polished, on-brand graphic in one short back-and-forth.

Key highlights:

Annual revenue : $6K

Annual profit : $3K

Churn rate : 30%

LTV : NA

CAC : 0

Business margin : 50%

Team

It is a solo operation. I'm the solo developer who builds the entire product end to end, both the React frontend and the Node.js backend.

Tech Stack

The frontend is built with React.js, and the backend runs on Node.js.

The AI Chat Agent is powered by Claude API and the Image Generation model is powered by Google Gemini API. Customer support runs through Crisp live chat, and users sign in with email or Google login.

Marketing and growth

Growth has been organic and founder-led, at $0 customer acquisition cost. The main channel is LinkedIn content, using the tool itself to create the infographics that market it, so every post doubles as a live product demo.

Revenue and profit

It runs on a subscription model with healthy margins for its stage. Annual revenue is around $6K (roughly $500 MRR), with about $3K in annual profit at a 50% net margin. Pricing is $19/month for founding members, a rate locked forever for the first 98 users, then $49/month standard after that. A free tier gives 3 generations per month. Billing is monthly with cancel anytime. Customer acquisition cost is effectively $0 since growth has been fully organic, not paid. Churn currently sits at 30%, and LTV is not yet calculated as retention data matures.

Return on investment

It was built with time, not money. No ad spend, no paid acquisition, no outside capital, so the roughly $3K in annual profit is clean recurring margin rather than cash recovered from a marketing budget. For a buyer, that is the key point: with a 50% margin and $0 customer acquisition cost, the unit economics already work, so you are buying a working model to accelerate, not a broken one to fix.

Payback period equals the sale price divided by annual profit. At about $3K profit per year today (roughly $500 per month), a buyer recovers the purchase price from ongoing profit alone. That window shrinks fast once you pull the levers the solo technical founder never had time for: switching on real marketing and sales, converting free-tier and audience into paying users, moving members onto the $49 standard tier, and cutting the 30% churn to lift retention and lifetime value.

Startup assets

Everything transfers with the sale:

Live SaaS product: a working AI infographic generator on React (frontend) and Node.js (backend), with 100+ templates, a brand kit system (colors, fonts, logo), and high-res PNG export.

Recurring revenue: about $6K ARR (around $500 MRR) at a 50% net margin, with founding-member pricing of $19 per month locked for the first 98 users and $49 per month standard after.

User base: a database of 14k users across free and paying tiers.

Email list: 14k subscribers.

Domain and brand: the domain and full brand identity.

Support system: a live Crisp chat setup plus a complete documented knowledge base, canned responses, and workflows, ready to hand off on day one.

Risks

Every acquisition has risks. Here are the main ones and how a buyer reduces them:

Key-person risk: one developer, I built the whole product, so the knowledge sits with me. Mitigation: a clear handover period, plus a codebase and support system that are already documented.

High churn: at 30%, retention is the weakest metric. Mitigation: better onboarding and engagement. It is also upside, since fixing churn compounds revenue and lifetime value directly.

Unproven distribution: growth has been organic and the founder does not sell, so the go-to-market engine is not built yet. Mitigation: a buyer with any marketing ability turns this from a risk into the core opportunity, and the audience assets give an immediate channel.

Competition and platform dependence: larger tools like Canva and general AI image apps compete, and the product leans on LinkedIn staying relevant. Mitigation: staying niche and fast, with a LinkedIn-specific, brand-consistent workflow that general tools do not focus on.

Summary

It is a profitable, working product, not an idea. It earns about $6K a year at a 50% margin with $0 customer acquisition cost, and it was built entirely on sweat equity, so there is no burned capital, no debt, and no ad budget propping up the numbers. What you are buying is clean recurring revenue plus real, underused distribution: an existing user base, an email list, and a social audience that have barely been monetized. The one thing the business lacks is exactly what most buyers bring, which is sales and marketing, so a growth-minded owner is a natural fit rather than a rescue mission. Add an obvious, fixable churn problem and strong tailwinds in both AI tooling and LinkedIn content, and the upside is straightforward: keep the product as is, switch on distribution, and the same asset compounds. For a buyer whose whole investment is the purchase price, that is a short path to payback and a clear runway beyond it.

✅ $6,470 TTM revenue

✅ 79 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS

✅ Built with Node.js, Cloudinary, React

Business Model
It is a subscription SaaS. Users pay monthly for AI-generated LinkedIn infographics. Free tier: 3 generations per month. And $19/month for the paid plan.
Target Audience
Founders, solopreneurs, and marketers who post on LinkedIn to build a personal brand or audience. People who need polished, on-brand infographics regularly but do not want to design each one by hand in Canva or hire a designer.
Asking Price Reasoning
The $50k reflects what it took to build the platform, not what it earns. It's 7 months of solo full-stack work: a live, profitable product with AI generation, 100+ templates, a brand kit, and 14.2k users. You're buying a finished head start, not raw hours.
Reason for Selling
Not able to grow.
Growth Opportunity
The product works and is profitable; distribution is the untapped lever. Biggest levers: convert free-tier users into paying customers, cut the 30% churn to lift retention, and switch on real marketing that the solo technical founder never had time for.
