Overview

My product is a Chrome extension that automates LinkedIn outreach - connection requests, follow-ups, and engagement - with AI-generated personalization handling message drafting, profile summarization, and talking points. It runs entirely from the user's own authenticated browser session rather than a remote server, keeping it outside the category of tools LinkedIn's User Agreement explicitly bans (third-party scrapers and cloud-based automation). That's the reason my extension doesn't carry the account-ban risk that's gotten several competitors restricted this year.

I've been running and refining it - sharpening the product, the safety positioning, and the growth playbook it's on today.

Key highlights:

Annual revenue (TTM, Stripe-verified): ~$3,300

Annual profit (TTM): ~$2,555 (net margin ~77%)

Current run-rate ARR: ~$2,700 (current MRR ~$228)

Churn rate: 7% monthly

LTV: ~$142 per customer

CAC: effectively $0 - customer base built almost entirely organically; paid acquisition untested (a small $100 Google test just launched)

Gross margin: ~95% (AWS hosting is free; light opex is Workspace + domain + AI API

Email list: 11,955 subscribers - a warm, largely untouched audience well beyond the active subscriber base.

Team

Just two people. I handle sales, marketing, and revenue day-to-day. One AI/software engineer supports the technical side (pro bono). No other staff, no standing contractors - a lean cost base a new owner inherits, not a team they have to fund.

Tech Stack

Extension: Plain JavaScript with jQuery, built on Manifest V3 (Chrome's current standard, no forced rewrite ahead)

AI: Google Gemini API, called server-side - key and processing never touch the customer's browser

Backend: Three independent systems - billing (Stripe), AI service (Gemini), marketing site/blog

Hosting: AWS, effectively no-cost

Email/CRM: Mailchimp

Code: Private GitHub repo, fully owned - clean transfer, only one past engineer ever had commit access (fully revoked)

Data architecture: all sensitive LinkedIn data stays on the customer's device; the server only ever touches billing info

Marketing and growth

The entire customer base to date - a 12k-strong email list — was built with essentially no paid acquisition spend. That's the real growth story: proven organic pull, with the growth playbook still unwritten.

Revenue and profit

23 active paying subscriptions, gross MRR ≈ $228/month

TTM revenue: ~$3,300, TTM net income ~$2,555 (~77% margin)

Monthly churn: 7%

LTV: ~$142

Plan mix: Lite ~48% of MRR, Pro ~52%; ~69% monthly billing, ~31% annual

Revenue has held roughly flat over the trailing year rather than growing - the opportunity is a large dormant base (11,955-person list) that current revenue doesn't reflect at all

Return on investment

Payback period depends on final asking price. The extension's positioning to date has targeted the $20k–100k range. At the lower end, TTM net income (~$2,555) implies a payback period of roughly 8 years on current numbers alone - the honest baseline. The real upside case rests on two untapped, already-built levers: reactivating the email list and standing up paid acquisition, neither of which has been meaningfully tested yet.

Startup assets

Live Chrome Web Store listing with existing install base and reviews

Email list: 11,955 subscribers (Mailchimp)

2,828 lifetime paying customers, most with historical/permanent access - a warm base to re-engage

Private GitHub repo, fully owned, clean IP

Marketing site with blog and pricing page

Completed 31-second product video ad, ready for paid deployment

Domain, low-cost biennial renewal

Risks

Revenue is flat, not growing - this is a maintained asset, not one under active expansion; a buyer needs a deliberate plan to activate the list and test paid channels. Mitigation: both levers are proven-possible (large existing audience), just unexploited.

Single-operator dependency - sales/marketing has run through one person. Mitigation: processes and templates are documented and transferable.

Summary

My extension is a profitable, near-zero-overhead SaaS asset with a real technical moat - browser-based architecture that sidesteps the account-ban risk plaguing its entire competitor set - a 12,000-person email list that current revenue barely touches. This is a business that's proven it can acquire and retain customers organically for five years running, with essentially no paid growth effort behind it. For a buyer who wants a working, differentiated product with real untapped upside rather than a fixer-upper, the gap between what it earns today and what its audience could support is the opportunity.

✅ $3,300 TTM revenue

✅ 23 customers

✅ Business model: Freemium

✅ Built with JavaScript, AWS, Stripe

Business Model

Freemium-to-paid SaaS via Chrome Web Store, billed through Stripe. Two tiers — Lite and Pro — each available monthly or annually, capped at 3 seats so it stays squarely a solo/small-team tool rather than an enterprise play. Not usage-based or per-message.

Target Audience

Individual sales reps, recruiters, agency owners, and founder/growth operators — people doing their own LinkedIn outreach rather than running it through a team platform.

Asking Price Reasoning

Browser-based architecture avoiding the ban risk hurting cloud-based competitors, an 11,955-person email list largely untapped for reactivation, near-zero operating costs, and a clean, transfer-ready codebase with real unrealized upside.

Reason for Selling

It is a solid, differentiated product that deserves someone who can give it full-time attention. I run it alongside other commitments, which means it's had a stable operating cadence but not the dedicated growth push.

Growth Opportunity

The AI stack has room to expand past message drafting into reply suggestions, lead scoring, or a usage-based AI tier.

Competitors

Cloud-based LinkedIn automation tools — Expandi, Dripify, Waalaxy, Dux-Soup, Meet Alfred, HeyReach. Our core differentiator: it runs entirely from the user's own authenticated browser session rather than a remote server, which keeps it outside.

Tech Stack

AWS, JavaScript, Stripe, GitHub, Gemini API.
