Overview

I started this project to organize my home cooking. It finds food blogs I trust and creates a weekly menu based on what it knows I like to eat.

I've been a serious home cook for years and designed my absolute ideal tool for organizing my recipes.

I also built in an affiliate channel, food bloggers who promote it get a rev share for life.

Key highlights:

Very optimized, high-converting onboarding completion from cold traffic, converting at ~80%

Users who love using the platform

Big market, an estimated 75 million to over 100 million U.S. households cook from food blogs each month

Untapped affiliate play to partner with food bloggers

Features than use AI behind the scenes to create custom weekly menus and generate the images for them in the recipe book

Team

Solo founder. I've worked with tech startups for 8+ years, and built this carefully with all the learnings and best practices from over the years, spending a lot of effort to make the design nice.

Tech Stack

App: Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript

UI: Tailwind, Radix/shadcn, lucide icons

Data: Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage), Drizzle ORM, pgvector

AI: Claude (chat and menus), OpenAI (embeddings), fal.ai (dish images)

Jobs: Inngest (crawling, weekly menus)

Payments: Stripe

Email: Resend + React Email

Analytics: Google Analytics/Ads

Hosting: Vercel

Marketing and growth

Really haven't had time to do anything other than google ads. I can show you the ad account and campaigns I was running. Turning it on instantly gets sign-ups.

The main channel that is worth exploring is partnerships with food bloggers to help them monetize their blog. They have the traffic and newsletter lists to promote it, and get a rev share. This is already set up, I just haven't started outreach yet.

Revenue and profit

Can't speak to churn or LTV yet, but LTV should be high because folks are adding in their recipes to store them and won't want to lose access.

Users have paid for both monthly and annual plans.

Startup assets

~50 users

Google ads account with campaigns that already have conversions & learnings

Full app, marketing site, all domains

Risks

The main risks is how effective outreach to the food bloggers is. That is the real distribution channel.

Summary

Buy this is you are passionate about the cooking space and consumer Saas.

Also if you have the marketing and sales chops to explore the other marketing channels I don't have time for.

I want to keep it alive so I can keep using it, so let me know why you are a good fit to take it over and your plans for it.

I am willing to still be involved, I just don't have the bandwidth for the marketing and sales right now.

✅ $123 TTM revenue

✅ 2 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS

✅ Built with TailwindCSS, Next.js, React
