Overview

Startup description

My decision to start the project was based on the lack of crypto-related plugins on WordPress. Therefore, I first developed CryptoPay to enable users to make commission-free crypto payments on all EVM networks and other supported blockchain networks in exchange for a license fee.

Key highlights:

High return potential if marketed

Still an emerging market

Low cost and high return

Team

I and an independent teammate. I generally manage the development processes, while my teammate has supported me with some open-source packages.

Tech Stack

Marketing and growth

I only did basic SEO work for my website, which included purchasing paid articles from some blogs. Despite this, it generated returns well above the monthly expenses. If managed with a proper marketing process (since I'm just a developer), I believe it could easily reach 2-4 times the current annual return.

Return on investment

As I said, with the right marketing, they can achieve this in just one year.

Then you'll ask, “Why are you selling?” I'm currently working on another project related to blockchain and AI. It has higher potential for me, so I'm investing my time there and also trying to secure funding.

Risks

I was earning a good average monthly income even without doing any marketing. Of course, I was the developer. But right now, these products are not MVPs. So there is no possibility of a problem arising. They can just agree with a developer on innovations that can be added.

Summary

It is still a growing market, and high-volume marketing has not been done for the project, meaning it has not even reached the saturation point. In addition, the operating costs are very low.

✅ $22,130 in Annual revenue

✅ 258 customers

✅ Business model: Licensing

✅ Built with TypeScript, WordPress, Express.js

With good marketing, this sales price can be easily achieved within 1-2 years. Without doing any marketing, my income nearly doubled every year.
