It aggregates, categorizes, and serves the most viral, aesthetic, and trending CapCut templates in a clean, easy-to-navigate mobile interface. Users simply browse categories (Trending, Viral, Aesthetic, Love, etc.), preview the template, and tap a button that deep-links them directly into the CapCut app to start editing.</p><p>I started this project after noticing the immense search volume for "CapCut templates" on app stores and social media. I realized there was a massive demand for a centralized directory. I built the MVP, optimized it for the Google Play Store (ASO), and it quickly gained organic traction, growing to a highly engaged user base.</p><p><b>Key highlights:<b></b></b></p><ul> <li>Daily Active Users (DAU): 2,500+ consistently active users.</li> <li>Annual Revenue (Run Rate): ~$1,567 (Generated via AdMob banners, interstitials, and native ads. Made $130.62 in the last 30 days).</li> <li>Annual Profit: ~$1,550 (Extremely high margin due to near-zero running costs).</li> <li>Total Revenue Since Launch (Jan 2026): $798.95 (in exactly 6 months).</li> <li>Business Margin: ~99%. The backend is architected to run almost entirely on free-tier infrastructure.</li> <li>Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): $0.00. 100% of the growth has been organic via App Store Optimization (ASO) and word-of-mouth.</li> <li>LTV / Churn Rate: Explicit LTV and churn are not currently tracked in Firebase, as the monetization model is entirely focused on daily ad impressions from organic search traffic rather than user subscriptions.</li> <li>Tech Highlights: Zero-maintenance backend architecture utilizing distributed free-tier endpoints and dynamic configuration.</li> </ul> <p><b>Team</b></p><p>This is a solo-founded project. I am the sole developer and marketer.</p><p>My Responsibilities: Android app development, backend Python API maintenance, AdMob optimization, and App Store Optimization (ASO).</p><p>The business is highly automated and requires less than [2-3 hours] per week to maintain, making it a perfect turnkey acquisition for a solo entrepreneur or portfolio buyer.</p><p><b>Tech Stack</b></p><p>The app is designed to be highly scalable and incredibly cheap to run.</p><ul> <li>Frontend / Mobile App: React Native (TypeScript). Lightweight microservices deployed on Render.com that handle template search and detail fetching.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Database &amp; State: Firebase Analytics and Cloud Messaging (FCM) for user tracking and push notifications.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Dynamic Configuration: Blogger HTML pages are used ingeniously as a highly scalable, zero-cost CDN to manage dynamic configurations (API routing, categories, ad toggle) without requiring app updates.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Monetization: Google AdMob SDK integration.</li> </ul> <p><b>Marketing and growth</b></p><p>The core growth driver has been App Store Optimization (ASO). Because CapCut is a global phenomenon, millions of users search for "CapCut templates" on the Google Play Store every month. By optimizing the app title, subtitle, and screenshots for these exact keywords, the app organically captures this high-intent search traffic.</p><p>Results: $0 Marketing spend resulting in 2,500+ Daily Active Users. Mitigation: CapCut relies on user-generated templates and external sharing to grow their own ecosystem. Sending them traffic via deep links is mutually beneficial.</p><p><b>Summary</b></p><p>This is the holy grail of indie acquisitions: a product with proven, high-volume organic traffic, a massive daily active user base (2,500 DAU), and operating costs that are practically zero.</p><p>You aren't buying a struggling project that needs marketing to survive; you are buying a machine that already generates daily attention. The hard part—getting users—is already solved. A buyer with basic marketing skills or experience in app monetization can easily double the revenue by introducing in-app purchases, pushing automated notifications, or spinning up automated social media pages (plans for which are included in the sale).
