Overview

Startup description

My product is a subscription platform that gives serious candidates access to real, recent interview questions from top tech companies - not the same 10 LeetCode classics everyone's already memorized. We track DSA and System Design questions actually being asked in current interview loops at Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, plus high-prestige companies like Nvidia, Uber, Stripe, and Airbnb, and quant/HFT firms like Jane Street and Citadel. Every question is tagged by company, role, and round, and updated on a weekly cadence rather than sitting static like a textbook problem set.

I started it in July 2025 after noticing candidates kept grinding generic problem sets that had nothing to do with what companies were actually asking that month. The model is free teaser / paid solution anyone can read the problem statement, but full solutions, explanations, and complexity breakdowns sit behind a subscription.

Key highlights:

Annual revenue: $1,280 (trailing 12 months, Sep 2025–Aug 2026); $1,593 lifetime since July 2025 launch

Annual profit: (need your monthly hosting/infra cost to calculate real margin — Supabase + hosting spend, whatever that runs)

Churn rate: Not cleanly trackable at current volume — 43 unique paying customers historically, 2 currently active. Low subscriber count means a churn percentage wouldn't be statistically meaningful yet

LTV: ~$30 per customer (total revenue ÷ 43 unique paying users)

CAC: ~$0 — 100% organic, driven by content/Reddit marketing, no paid acquisition spend to date

Business margin: (same gap as annual profit — once you give me hosting cost, this is just (revenue − hosting cost) / revenue, one line)

Other metrics: 37.33% checkout conversion rate; 43 unique customers converted from 2,395 registered users (~1.8% signup-to-paid conversion, which is the real growth lever — a small nudge here has outsized impact given the funnel already converts well once someone checks out)

Team

Solo-founder operation. I built and run the whole thing myself, alongside a full-time engineering job - question sourcing, review, tech, and content are all one-person operated. Content generation is AI-assisted (an internal pipeline flags candidate questions, checks them against a dedup ledger and a blocklist of over-drilled/generic problems, then I review and approve before anything goes live), which keeps day-to-day time investment low relative to output. This is a genuine asset for a buyer - there's no team to hire around or retain, and the content pipeline itself transfers with the sale.

Tech Stack

Database/backend: Supabase (Postgres 17)

Payments/subscriptions: Polar, handling DSA-only, System Design-only, and Pro Bundle tiers

Content generation pipeline: Custom Supabase-driven system - pattern library, dedup ledger, and an exclusion list of ~180 over-drilled/generic problems, so every question generated is checked against what's already been asked before publishing.

Vercel for Hosting

Marketing and growth

Primary growth channel to date has been Reddit - posting real interview-question breakdowns in relevant communities, which drove the bulk of the 2,395 registered users and the historical order volume. Currently rebuilding distribution through a structured content strategy: weekly long-form articles on Medium (targeting interview-prep and career-advice publications) paired with a broader, more sustainable Reddit presence across multiple relevant subreddits, rather than concentrated in one or two. This is a channel with real proven pull that's mid-relaunch, not a dead one - a buyer picking this up gets to walk into an already-mapped growth playbook instead of building one from scratch.

Revenue and profit

Lifetime revenue: $1,593 collected since launch (July 2025)

Orders: 81 completed

Checkout conversion rate: 37.33% - this is the number I'd point to first. It means the funnel converts extremely well once someone reaches checkout; the constraint has been top-of-funnel traffic, not product-market fit or pricing

Current MRR: $40, from 2 active subscribers - real, ongoing recurring revenue, not a one-time burst. Revenue has ranged from $40 to $280/mo depending on marketing activity, with a clear pattern: every spike tracks directly to a Reddit push, every dip follows a quiet period. That's the opportunity for a buyer - the ceiling is already proven at $280/mo, and getting back there is a distribution problem, not a product or pricing one

Pricing tiers: DSA-only $20/mo, System Design-only $30/mo, Pro Bundle $40/mo

Return on investment

With a proven 37.33% checkout conversion rate and current $40/mo MRR from just 2 active subscribers, the payback period is a function of distribution, not product risk - the funnel is already validated. Revenue has ranged as high as $280/mo when marketing was active, so the ceiling is proven, not theoretical. At $20–40/mo per subscriber, a buyer reactivating even 20–30 subscribers through the marketing channels already mapped out would cover the asking price within a few months.

Startup assets

The domain and full production codebase

Database with 2,395 registered users

417 total questions in the database - 299 DSA, 118 System Design, each tagged by company, role, and asked-date, with full solutions and explanations

Content generation pipeline - pattern library, dedup ledger, and exclusion list of ~180 over-drilled problems, so new content can be produced without duplicating existing questions

81 completed historical orders and 2 currently active paying subscribers

Supabase database (Postgres 17) and Polar payment integration, fully configured

Risks

Revenue has trended down from a $280/mo peak to a $40/mo baseline. The pattern tracks directly with marketing activity - every spike lines up with a Reddit push, every dip follows a quiet period. This is a demand-response problem, not churn or product-market fit - the same playbook that hit $280/mo once is documented and ready to run again, now across more channels.

Solo-founder content review dependency. The generation pipeline is AI-assisted but still needs a human to review and approve output before it ships, to keep quality and uniqueness high. A new owner needs to either do this themselves or bring someone in for it.

Primary growth channel took a hit. Prior Reddit accounts were banned from two subreddits for promotional patterns. A cleaner, multi-subreddit strategy is already planned to replace it, so this isn't a dead channel - just one that needs a different approach going forward.

Reason for sale: I can no longer operate this myself due to other commitments taking priority, and I'd rather hand it to someone who can give it the active attention it needs than let it sit underfed. The product and funnel are proven - it just needs an operator with the bandwidth I don't currently have.

Summary

It is a working product, not a concept - 417 real questions, 2,395 users, a 37% checkout conversion rate, and consistent recurring revenue every month since launch with zero dead months. Revenue has already proven it can reach $280/mo under active marketing and currently sits at a $40/mo floor with 2 paying subscribers holding steady even with marketing paused. For a buyer with any existing audience in tech or career content, or the bandwidth to run the distribution playbook that's already mapped out, this is a fast reactivation of a proven funnel - not a rebuild from scratch.

✅ $1,280 TTM revenue

✅ 2 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS

✅ Built with Node.js, Next.js, Supabase

Business Model
Subscription-based. Three tiers — DSA-only $20/mo, System Design-only $30/mo, Pro Bundle $40/mo. Problem statements are free to read; full solutions, explanations, and complexity breakdowns are paywalled.
Target Audience
Software engineers and CS students actively interviewing at top tech companies (FAANG, high-prestige tech like Stripe/Nvidia/Uber, and quant/HFT firms like Jane Street and Citadel) who want current, company-specific questions instead of generic practice sessions,
Asking Price Reasoning
Priced against Microns' own valuation estimate for this revenue level ($4,779–$7,965). The number reflects a working product with 417 pieces of real content, a proven 37% checkout conversion rate, consistent recurring revenue every month since launch.
Reason for Selling
I can no longer give this project the active attention it needs due to other commitments taking priority. The product and funnel are proven — it just needs an operator with the bandwidth I don't currently have to run the marketing playbook.
Growth Opportunity
Reactivating content-driven marketing (Medium articles + a broader, cleaner multi-subreddit Reddit strategy) is the single biggest lever — revenue has already hit $280/mo under active marketing and sits at a $40/mo floor even with marketing paused.

Competitors
LeetCode is the default incumbent but is generic and not company-specific. NeetCode and AlgoExpert (Design Gurus) are closer competitors for curated problem sets but are static, not weekly-updated. Educative and Exponent lean more toward course-style content.
Tech Stack
Node.js, Next.js, Supabase, Google Analytics, Vercel.
