Overview

My platform turns a script or an idea into a ready-to-post vertical short, with narration, word-timed captions in 90+ languages, background footage or illustrated scenes, and AI titles. It also clips long uploaded videos. Live since June 2026, with 3,000+ users and no ad spend. In the last 30 days 1,647 people made a video and 95% of videos were finished. A ready product for someone who wants to grow it.

Key highlights:

Annual revenue: about US$34 since launch, net of refunds and before fees (Stripe plus UPI). US$12.55 in the last 30 days, as of 2026-11-04.

Annual profit: none. Lifetime loss about US$559.

Churn rate: not meaningful. Nearly all sales are one-time packs.

LTV: not reliably measured, too few customers.

CAC: US$0 ad spend. No paid acquisition has been run.

Business margin: negative. Costs were about US$104 in October, estimated US$30-48 with new caps.

Other: 3,089 users, 2,209 joined in the last 30 days, 1,647 made a video in the last 30 days, 95% of those videos finished (2026-11-02). 7 paying customers in the last 30 days (2026-11-04).

Team

One founder, with heavy AI assistance, is doing product, code, and ops. The founder is under 18, so a parent is the seller of record and signs the contract.

Tech Stack

Next.js, Node/Express, Prisma, Postgres, Redis, Python FastAPI, Docker on one Hetzner server. About 132,000 lines and about 3,000 tests. Sentry is not configured, and 3 high and 52 moderate npm advisories need breaking upgrades.

Marketing and growth

3,000+ users with no ad spend, about 90% of signups from ChatGPT recommendations. Visitors peaked at 235 people a day in October. That channel has since fallen to 66 people a day on 11-01 and about 25-30 signups a day; the cause is not proven. No paid, search or social channel is working yet, so there is clear room for someone with marketing skills. Direct promotions so far brought no sales: lifetime deal letters (80), recovery letters (115), a card trial (9 started, 0 paid by 10-28), Product Hunt (3 visits) and about 48 cold emails to channel operators.

Revenue and profit

NZ$46.41 net through Stripe since launch, after fees and 2 refunds (about US$26), plus one UPI sale of INR 97.57. About 1 sale per 200 signups. Of 2,502 recent signups, 0.8% started another video by hand a day or more later.

Return on investment

The platform currently costs more to run than it earns, with running costs estimated at US$30-48 a month under new caps. Payback depends on adding a channel beyond ChatGPT and lifting conversion, currently about 1 sale per 200 signups.

Startup assets

Full source code (private GitHub repo), deploy runbook, one-command deploy and idempotent migrations.

The domain .com and the Stripe product setup (you connect your own accounts).

The production user database, under the Privacy Policy's change-of-owner clause, users are told by email first and may delete their accounts.

The S3 media bucket (about 23 GB), caption styles, prompts and model configuration. A script rebuilds the footage library from Pexels with your own free key; the stock clips do not transfer.

REST API and MCP server, and 30 days of handover support by message.

Not included: the seller's other projects and YouTube channels. The seller may reuse general boilerplate in unrelated products, and for 2 years will not build a competing video-clipping or faceless-shorts product.

In numbers:

Database with 3,089 users

About 23 GB of stored media

No email list or social following of note is claimed.

Risks

Not profitable yet: revenue is small and the platform costs more to run than it earns. One Primary channel: about 90% of signups come from ChatGPT, and it is falling.

Low conversion.

Thin retention.

A crowded market with free competitors. A single server run by hand. Until 2026-09-05, faceless shorts used GTA V gameplay as background; it was removed, and older videos may still be in storage.

Link clipping fetches YouTube video through a residential proxy and is off for free users; no lawyer has reviewed this or the stock footage use. A buyer should review the code.

Summary

A finished, working product with real users: 3,000+ signups, 1,647 people making videos in the last 30 days, 95% of videos finishing, captions in 90+ languages, about 3,000 tests, one-time packs and regional payments already live, plus a REST API and MCP server. All of that traction came with no ad spend. A buyer with marketing skills or an existing audience skips the build and starts on growth.

✅ $290 TTM revenue

✅ 7 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS+LTD

✅ Built with Next.js, Stripe

Business Model

One-time packs of shorts (about US$1 to US$3), subscriptions and lifetime plans. Payments through Stripe, plus UPI through Dodo in India. A free first short leads people to the paywall. About 1 sale per 200 signups.

Target Audience

Faceless YouTube, TikTok and Instagram creators, and people making short videos in non-English languages.

Asking Price Reasoning

Not based on profit, because there is none. The price reflects a finished product (about 132,000 lines, about 3,000 tests), 3,000+ users and 2,209 signups in 30 days, which a buyer with marketing skills could monetise. Price is negotiable.

Reason for Selling

Started as a side project. My interests have moved on from this kind of business, so I would rather hand it to someone who wants to grow it. The product works and needs someone with time and a marketing budget. The founder is under 18, so a parent is the seller of record.

Growth Opportunity

Add a channel beyond ChatGPT, since paid, search and social acquisition have never worked yet. Test pricing, and sell to faceless channel operators (about 48 cold emails so far, no customers). Could also be bundled into a creator tool through its REST API and MCP server.

30 days free support from seller

Competitors

Revid, InVideo, Opus Clip, and free faceless and text-to-video tools.

Tech Stack

Next.js, Stripe.
