Overview

Startup description

My product is an AI agent that diagnoses and fixes the issues getting Shopify stores suspended from Google Shopping, then walks them back to approved. Google Merchant Center suspensions (misrepresentation, policy violations, feed errors) knock a store's entire Shopping channel offline overnight, and most merchants have no idea why or how to fix it. The AI agent scans the store and its Merchant Center account, pinpoints the exact causes, and resolves most of them automatically through the Shopify connection, editing product metadata and rewriting store policies (the single most common root cause). For changes it can't make via API, it gives the merchant precise steps and re-checks once done.

I built it after seeing how painful and opaque GMC suspensions are for ecommerce and dropshipping stores, and how little tooling exists that actually fixes the problem instead of just explaining it.

Key highlights:

Live product with working Google Merchant API + Shopify integrations

Deterministic misrepresentation scan plus an AI agent that executes fixes

~40,000 Google search impressions per quarter, ranking page one for high-intent GMC/Shopping terms

Cited by ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity as a source in the GMC/Shopping niche

$679 lifetime gross revenue, 12 paying customers, monetization started only weeks ago

Early stage: the asset is the built product + search footprint, not proven revenue scale

Team

Solo founder. I built and ran the entire stack, product, integrations, AI pipeline, content/SEO, and infrastructure. The product is designed to run with minimal maintenance (managed infra, error tracking in place), so it does not depend on a team to keep operating.

Tech Stack

Frontend/API: Next.js on Vercel

Backend/data: Railway (Postgres, Redis, queue worker)

Pipeline orchestration: Trigger.dev

AI layer: conversational agent on Gemini via OpenRouter (OpenAI-compatible, model swappable by config); the paid misrep scan itself is deterministic, so it has no per-scan model cost and no model dependency

Integrations: Google OAuth + Merchant API, Shopify (OAuth, scopes, webhooks configured)

Billing: Polar. Email: Resend. Analytics: PostHog.

The architecture is built for a clean handover: env-driven config, centralized model routing, and a documented migration path.

Marketing and growth

Growth so far has been entirely organic, no paid spend. Two channels are working:

SEO content library targeting GMC suspension, misrepresentation, and Shopping-approval queries. The site ranks on page one (positions ~7-8) for high-volume terms like "gmc dropshipping store requirements" and "common gmc suspension triggers," generating ~40k impressions/quarter. CTR is currently low, which is the clearest near-term upside: the rankings already exist, the titles/meta just aren't optimized to capture the clicks yet.

LLM citations. ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity refer traffic and cite the content, a channel that's growing and rivals Google organic. Much of it lands as direct traffic because those apps strip the referrer.

Both channels are early but real, and both are the kind an operator can scale without an ad budget.

Revenue and profit

Straight numbers, no smoothing:

Lifetime gross revenue: $679 (14 paid orders, $0 test orders excluded)

Paying customers: 12

Last 60 days: $459 (7 orders) — most of the revenue is recent

Current list price: $29 (recently lowered from $99 to drive top-of-funnel conversion; earlier sales were mostly at $59.99)

Funnel: ~280+ free scans to date, roughly 6% free-to-paid

Costs are low: managed infra plus API usage, running at hobby/low tier

This is early monetization on a small scale. I'm presenting it as exactly that. The value proposition is not trailing revenue; it's a working product in an acute-pain niche with search positioning already in front of the right buyers.

Return on investment

At a $2,500 acquisition, payback comes from either (a) rebuild-cost savings, the working GMC Merchant API + Shopify integrations, agent, and scan pipeline represent months of engineering, or (b) an operator with existing suspended-Shopping merchants to route in. At $29-$99 per fix, an operator with even a modest flow of GMC-suspended clients (agencies, ecom consultants, dropshipping communities) reaches payback within the first handful of conversions. The search footprint and LLM citations provide ongoing top-of-funnel without ad spend.

Startup assets

Full source code and IP (Next.js app, agent, deterministic scan pipeline, integrations)

Domain

Working Google Merchant API integration + Google Cloud project (transferable, OAuth verification in place)

Shopify app configuration (OAuth, scopes, webhooks; not yet on the App Store, buyer submits under their own Partner account)

SEO content library ranking page one for high-intent GMC/Shopping terms (~40k impressions/quarter)

~270 free-scan user records and 12 paying customers

All infrastructure config, env inventory, and a documented migration runbook

Smooth handover included: hands-on technical migration support plus follow-up support for blockers.

Risks

I'll be direct about these so you can price them:

Early revenue: small base, not yet a proven run rate. Mitigation: the asset is priced on the build and traffic, not on revenue multiples.

Platform dependency: the product lives in Google's ecosystem; GMC policy changes affect the space. Mitigation: that same enforcement is what creates demand, more automated suspensions mean more merchants needing fixes.

Price still being tested: recent move to $29 has limited history. Mitigation: pricing is a lever the buyer controls; earlier $59.99 sales show willingness to pay more.

Solo-built: knowledge transfer needed. Mitigation: hands-on handover and a written runbook are included.

Low CTR on strong rankings: currently a weakness, but a concrete, fixable upside for whoever optimizes the metadata.

Summary

My platform is a working product solving an acute, urgent problem: Shopify stores getting suspended from Google Shopping, in a niche where the domain already ranks page one for the exact searches those merchants make and gets cited by the major AI assistants. The revenue is early and I'm not dressing it up as more than that. What you're buying is the hard part already done: functioning Google Merchant API and Shopify integrations, an AI agent that actually executes fixes, a deterministic scan pipeline, and search positioning in front of the right audience, plus a clean, supported handover. For an operator who already touches GMC-suspended merchants, or a builder who wants a live product in a high-pain niche without months of engineering, it's a low-cost, fast-payback acquisition.

✅ $679 TTM revenue

✅ 12 customers

✅ Business model: One-time payments

✅ Built with TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Next.js

Number of Customers
Expenses
Roughly $20-40/month: Vercel, Railway, and API usage (OpenRouter/Gemini) on low-tier plans, plus domain. Polar takes a small % per transaction. No paid marketing, no team cost.
Business Model
One-time paid fixes. A merchant runs a free scan, then pays to have the AI agent diagnose and fix the issues getting them suspended from Google Shopping. Current price is $29 per fix (recently lowered from $99 to drive conversion; earlier sales were at $59).
Target Audience
Shopify and ecommerce store owners suspended from or struggling to get approved for Google Shopping, especially dropshipping stores hit by misrepresentation and policy suspensions. Secondary: agencies and ecommerce consultants.
Asking Price Reasoning
Priced for a fast, clean sale rather than a revenue multiple. At $2,500 you're paying for the build and the search footprint, not trailing revenue: working Google Merchant API + Shopify integrations, an AI agent that executes fixes, and more.
Reason for Selling
Focusing my time on other projects and would rather hand this to an operator who can give it the attention it needs to grow.
Growth Opportunity
Three clear levers, all low-cost: Capture existing rankings, the site already ranks page one for high-intent GMC/Shopping terms (~40k impressions/quarter) but CTR is low. Optimizing titles/meta converts existing impressions into traffic.
