Overview

Startup description

My product is a live cross-platform messaging and social app available on iOS, Android, and the web. It combines private chats, group chats, voice/video calls, stories, local places/business listings, reviews, subscriptions, ads, and a Firebase-powered backend.

I started it because I wanted to build a modern communication app that mixes messaging, social discovery, and local places into one product. The app is still early, with low revenue and under 100 active users, but it has a deep feature set and a strong foundation for someone who knows mobile growth.

Key highlights

• Live on iOS, Android, and web

• 669 mobile downloads: 646 Android, 23 iOS

• Downloads came mainly from Apple Search Ads and Google Play / app-install ads

• Under 100 active users

• Low current revenue

• Monetization already built

• Firebase backend and production infrastructure already in place

• Cross-platform product with many core social/messaging features already developed.

Team

The project is currently founder-led. I handled product direction, testing, design decisions, growth attempts, and overall strategy. Development has been done with coding assistance and implementation support. A buyer with mobile development and growth experience would be able to continue improving and scaling it.

Tech Stack

• Expo / React Native for the iOS and Android apps

• Next.js / React for the web app

• Firebase Authentication for user accounts

• Firestore for realtime chat, social, business, and app data

• Firebase Storage for media uploads

• Cloud Functions for backend logic, notifications, moderation workflows, subscriptions, and server-side operations

• Stripe for web/iOS subscription checkout where applicable

• Google Play Billing for Android subscriptions

• Google Maps / Places features for local business/place discovery

• AdMob / web ads for ad monetization

• LiveKit for voice/video call infrastructure.

Marketing and growth

Growth has mainly come from paid user-acquisition campaigns through Apple Search Ads and Google Play / app-install ads. These campaigns helped drive the current download base of 669 mobile downloads: 646 Android and 23 iOS.

The app has not yet had a full serious organic growth push, influencer campaign, referral strategy, partnership strategy, or dedicated operator behind it. I believe the right buyer could improve onboarding, positioning, retention, App Store Optimization, subscription conversion, and paid-ad efficiency.

Revenue and profit

Revenue is currently low and should not be treated as the main reason to buy the project. This is more of an asset acquisition than a profitable business acquisition.

Current monetization includes:

• Plus subscription

• Business Plus subscription

• Ads for free users

Financial metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, and margins are still too early/small to be meaningful. The buyer should value this based on the codebase, infrastructure, live app-store presence, downloads, and growth potential rather than current profit.

Return on investment

The fastest ROI path would likely come from improving positioning, onboarding, retention, and subscription conversion. A buyer could also focus on one vertical, such as local business discovery, social messaging, or community messaging, instead of trying to grow every feature at once.

Potential ROI opportunities:

• Improve App Store Optimization

• Run better paid ads with clearer targeting

• Build a referral loop

• Improve Plus conversion

• Improve Business Plus value and sales

• Target local communities, schools, creators, or small businesses

• Reduce infrastructure costs where possible

• Improve retention through tighter onboarding and notifications

Startup assets

• iOS app

• Android app

• Web app

• Source code

• Firebase backend/project structure

• Firestore database structure

• Firebase Storage setup

• Cloud Functions backend logic

• Authentication system

• Subscription systems

• Ads integration

• App Store / Google Play app presence, subject to transfer rules

• Domain/website assets if agreed

• Brand name, logo, and design assets if agreed

• Existing user/download traction

• Documentation and handover support as agreed

Current traction:

• 646 Android downloads

• 23 iOS downloads

• 669 total mobile downloads

• Under 100 active users

• Low revenue

Risks

The app is early and still needs a strong operator. Main risks include:

• Low current revenue

• Low active-user base

• Competitive messaging/social app market

• Ongoing maintenance required across iOS, Android, web, Firebase, billing, ads, and app-store compliance

• User retention still needs improvement

• Some features may need further QA, polishing, or simplification before scaling heavily

• App-store and payment-platform policy requirements must continue to be managed carefully

A buyer can reduce risk by doing a proper code review, testing the app for a week, reviewing current metrics, checking infrastructure costs, and starting with a focused growth strategy instead of trying to scale every feature at once.

Summary

The app is not being sold as a mature, profitable business. It is being sold as a serious software asset with live apps, working infrastructure, real downloads, and a broad feature foundation.

The right buyer would be someone with mobile app growth experience, a development team, and the ability to focus the product into a sharper growth strategy. I believe it has strong potential, but I am selling because I want to focus on other projects.

✅ $30 TTM revenue

✅ 7 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS+Ads

✅Built with Node.js, Expo, React Native

Reason for Selling
I’m selling it because I want to focus on my main business and other projects. The app has real product depth and potential, but it needs a buyer with the time, team, and growth experience to focus on it properly.
