Overview

My product is an iOS prayer accountability app designed to help Muslims pray consistently and on time.

Most prayer apps focus on telling users when it is time to pray. The app goes one step further by creating accountability around actually getting up and praying.

Its core feature is a prayer alarm that cannot simply be dismissed. Users can set an alarm for Fajr or other daily prayers and are required to scan their prayer mat to complete the alarm. This turns a passive notification into an action-based habit.

The product has since expanded into a broader Muslim daily companion with prayer times, SalahLock, prayer tracking and streaks, Quran reading, Qibla, duas, widgets, and other tools designed around building consistency in Salah.

I started it after identifying a simple problem: people often genuinely intend to wake up for Fajr or pray on time, but regular alarms and prayer notifications are extremely easy to ignore.

The initial product was built around solving that single problem. It gained its first users organically and validated demand without requiring a large team or significant upfront marketing spend.

One of the biggest strengths of my app is that the core product solves a recurring problem. Salah is performed five times every day, which gives the app a natural reason for frequent engagement rather than relying on artificial engagement loops.

Team

The app has been operated with a very lean structure.

The founder currently oversees product strategy, positioning, growth, monetization, creator partnerships, App Store optimization, user acquisition, and overall business operations.

Development and other specialized work have been handled with a combination of development resources and external contractors where required.

This means a buyer does not need to acquire or manage a large existing team. The business can continue to operate leanly, while a buyer with stronger engineering, paid acquisition, or content resources could expand it further.

Marketing and Growth

The app initially grew primarily through organic distribution.

The product itself has a strong marketing hook: an alarm that makes you scan your prayer mat to turn it off. This is easy to demonstrate in short-form video and immediately communicates the product's value.

Growth activities have included:

App Store Optimization around prayer, Fajr, Muslim, Quran, Qibla, and related search intent

Organic TikTok and Instagram content

Muslim creator and influencer partnerships

User-generated short-form content

Paid creator campaigns

TikTok advertising experiments

App Store creative and conversion optimization

Product-led sharing and word of mouth

Creator marketing has been particularly relevant because the product can be demonstrated visually in a few seconds.

There is significant room for a buyer to scale growth through a larger creator network, improved paid acquisition funnels, Ramadan campaigns, referral programs, localization, Android expansion, and expansion into Muslim-majority markets.

Revenue and Profit

The app monetizes through subscriptions.

Financial metrics:

Existing subscriber base - 3.

Peak subsciber base - 10+.

Current mrr- $32.

Peak mrr - $102

The business has relatively low infrastructure requirements compared with many SaaS businesses because the core experience is delivered through the mobile application.

The largest variable growth expense is customer acquisition. A buyer can therefore choose between maintaining the business as a lean organic operation or reinvesting cash flow into creators and paid acquisition.

Return on Investment

A buyer's payback period depends on the final acquisition price and how aggressively they operate the business.

There are also several potential growth levers that have not been fully exploited:

Android launch

Expansion into additional Muslim markets

Arabic, Indonesian, Urdu, Malay, Turkish, and other localization

Larger Muslim creator partnerships

Ramadan and Fajr-focused campaigns

Improved onboarding and paywall optimization

Referral and accountability features

Family or group plans

Community features

Additional Islamic habit and productivity tools

These are potential opportunities rather than guaranteed future results.

Startup Assets

The sale can include the complete business and associated assets, subject to the final transaction structure.

Domain

App

Souce code

Exact account and asset transferability can be confirmed during due diligence.

Risks

Like any consumer subscription application, the app has several risks.

Platform dependency: The business currently depends heavily on Apple's App Store. This can be reduced by expanding to Android and building owned distribution channels such as email, web, and community.

Subscriber churn: Prayer apps can experience churn once users feel they have developed a routine. Continued product development around streaks, SalahLock, Quran, duas, accountability, and community can give users additional reasons to stay subscribed.

Seasonality: Muslim apps can see significant changes in demand around Ramadan. A buyer should plan acquisition and retention campaigns around the Islamic calendar rather than treating every month identically.

Paid acquisition: Paid ads have not yet been proven as a consistently scalable acquisition channel. A buyer should test creatives, audiences, onboarding, pricing, and attribution carefully before substantially increasing ad spend.

Competition: The Islamic app category contains several established products. My app differentiates itself through prayer accountability and action-based features rather than competing purely as another prayer-times or Quran application.

Founder dependency: Some marketing and operational knowledge currently sits with the founder. A structured transition period and documentation can minimize this risk.

Summary

My app is an opportunity to acquire a functioning consumer subscription product in the growing Muslim faith-tech market rather than starting an app from scratch.

The core concept is simple and differentiated: don't just remind Muslims to pray, create accountability that helps them actually get up and pray.

The business already has a working product, paying subscribers, existing users, established branding, App Store presence, marketing assets, analytics infrastructure, and validated demand.

The product also has several straightforward expansion opportunities that have not yet been fully pursued, particularly Android, international localization, creator-led acquisition, Ramadan campaigns, community/accountability features, and additional Islamic habit products.

For a buyer already operating consumer mobile apps, subscription products, Islamic products, or creator-led acquisition, my app provides an existing foundation that can be built upon instead of spending months developing and validating a new product from scratch.

✅ $242 TTM revenue

✅ 10 customers

✅ Business model: SaaS

✅ Built with Swift
