Overview

My product is a Chrome extension that turns your Reddit saved posts into a searchable, organized library. Reddit only shows your last 1,000 saves and has almost no way to search or sort them. My extension syncs all of them and adds fast search, labels, collections, AI auto-labels, summaries, an AI chat over your saves, and exports to Notion, Markdown, Obsidian, CSV and PDF. It also includes an AI connector (MCP) so assistants like Claude can search your saves.

I built it in 2025 because I had thousands of useful saves I could never find again. I launched it on Product Hunt in August 2025, and the first paying customer came in December 2025.

Key highlights:

Revenue (last 12 months): $1,750 gross / $1,710 net

95 paying customers, 107 payments

880 Chrome Web Store users, 4.2/5 rating

About 260 monthly active users

LTV: about $18 per paying customer

CAC: about $0 (all growth organic, no paid ads so far)

Business margin: about 80%

Monthly subscription churn has been high (most monthly buyers cancel after exporting), which is why most revenue now comes from the $59 Lifetime plan (72% of revenue)

Team

Solo founder. I handle everything: product design, extension and backend development, AI features, payments, email marketing, SEO and customer support. No employees or contractors. The product is fully documented in code and can be run by one person in a few hours a week.

Tech stack

Chrome extension: vanilla JavaScript (Manifest V3), IndexedDB (Dexie) for local storage

Backend: Node.js serverless functions on Vercel

Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL + pgvector for AI semantic search)

AI: Claude models via OpenRouter (chat, labels, summaries); OpenAI embeddings (search)

Payments: Dodo Payments (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime and Basic plans)

Email: Resend (onboarding, weekly digest, win-back, dunning automations)

Integrations: Notion API, remote MCP server with OAuth 2.1 for Claude and other AI tools

Website: React + TypeScript, about 150 SEO pages and guides

Marketing and growth

Reddit community posts and helpful replies: first 50 users, and later growth from 200 to over 1,200 users

Product Hunt launch (Aug 2025): 50 to 200 users

SEO: about 150 guide pages targeting "Reddit saved posts" searches. Last 3 months: about 880 Google clicks and 54,000 impressions. Google AI Overviews already cite the site for "Reddit saved posts limit".

Listed in MCP / AI-tool directories (Glama, mcpservers.org and others)

Email lifecycle: onboarding emails, weekly digest, abandoned-checkout and win-back emails

Paid ads have not been tried yet, which is a clear opportunity for a new owner.

Revenue and profit

Total revenue: $1,750 gross / $1,710 net (Dec 2025 to Oct 2026), 8 refunds ($40)

Best months: Jun to Sep 2026 at $237 to $352 per month

Revenue by plan: Lifetime $59 (26 sales, $1,255), Pro Monthly $5.99 (74 payments, $363), Yearly $49.99 (1), Basic $39 one-time (1), others $49

MRR: about $18 (3 active monthly subscriptions); most buyers choose one-time Lifetime

Running costs: about $20/month (AI API about $8, plus Supabase / Vercel / domains / email)

Annual profit: about $1,450

LTV: about $18 average per paying customer; CAC: about $0

Churn: high on monthly plans (most cancel after exporting their saves).

Return on investment

At the current run rate, the payback period is about 3 years. A buyer can shorten it substantially by:

Running small paid campaigns on high-intent keywords ("reddit saved posts limit", "search reddit saved posts"), which have never been tested

Pushing Yearly plans over Lifetime to build recurring revenue

Building backlinks (only 14 referring domains today) to lift existing SEO pages

Marketing the AI connector (MCP), a feature competitors mostly lack

June to September revenue ($237 to $352/month) shows what the product earns when it has steady traffic.

Startup assets

Chrome extension with 880 users and a 4.2 rating, plus full source code

Backend source code (Vercel), Supabase database and all migrations

About 200 user emails (paid and free users)

95 paying customers, about 26 of them Lifetime

Domains: .com and .in

Website with about 150 SEO pages ranking on Google

Remote MCP server and its listings in AI-tool directories

Email automation templates and payment setup

Logo and brand assets

30 days of handover support

Risks

Reddit dependency: Reddit revoked API access, so the extension reads saves from the user's own logged-in Reddit session. Reddit could change or block this. Mitigation: the sync has two independent methods (JSON and page reading) with automatic fallback.

Mostly one-time revenue: about 26 Lifetime customers use AI features that cost money monthly. Mitigation: AI usage is capped per plan, and the non-AI Basic plan exists.

High monthly churn: users often export once and cancel. Mitigation: shift pricing toward Yearly and Lifetime.

Brand name: "Readdit" is close to "Reddit"; a buyer may want to rebrand.

Acquisition: early growth came from Reddit posts, which are no longer an option for my accounts. A buyer would need SEO, ads or other channels.

Hosting: currently on Vercel's Hobby plan; commercial use should move to a paid plan (about $20/month).

Summary

My extension is a working, polished product with proven willingness to pay: 95 paying customers, 880 users and a 4.2 rating, with zero ad spend. The hard parts are already built: full sync beyond Reddit's 1,000-save limit, AI search and chat, Notion and Markdown exports, and an AI connector for Claude. It has SEO pages already ranking on Google and low running costs. Growth stalled mainly because I have limited time and lost my main distribution channel, not because of the product. A buyer with a marketing focus can grow it quickly using channels that haven't been tried yet, such as paid search, backlinks and AI-tool directories.

✅ $1,467 TTM revenue

✅ 95 customers

✅ Business model: LTD+SaaS

✅ Built with JavaScript, Node.js, React

Business Model

Freemium: free plan (7 days of all saves, then latest 100); Pro $5.99/mo or $49.99/yr; Lifetime $59; Basic $39 one-time (no AI)

Target Audience

Heavy Reddit users who save a lot: researchers, students, developers, founders and knowledge collectors.

Asking Price Reasoning

About 2.4x TTM net revenue ($1,467). 95 paying customers, 880 users, Google clicks up about 8x since July, AI connector, about $37/month costs. Paid ads untested: clear upside.

Reason for Selling

I'm a solo founder and want to focus on a new project. This product needs an owner with more time for marketing and growth.

Growth Opportunity

Untested paid search and Reddit Ads, backlinks for existing SEO pages, push Yearly plans, market the AI connector (MCP).
