Overview

My product is a digital wellbeing and productivity app designed to help people reduce distracting screen time by enforcing limits instead of simply sending reminders.

I originally built it because I had the same problem myself. Most screen-time blockers were easy to ignore or disable. I would reach a limit, bypass the blocker, and continue scrolling. My app was built around a different idea: when a limit is reached, the distracting app should actually close.

It is currently available as an Android app and Chrome extension.

The product includes Auto Guard, daily app limits, Sleep Guard, Strict Mode, focus sessions, screen-time tracking, streaks, progress widgets, weekly insights, and stronger blocking controls.

The app is also designed with privacy in mind, with core usage data remaining on the user's device and no account required to get started.

Current traction

It is an early-stage product with real users and initial monetization.

Current product metrics include:

350+ installs

230+ active users shown on the public website

469 active customers/users tracked by RevenueCat in the last 28 days

444 new RevenueCat customers/users in the last 28 days

1 active paid subscription

$3 MRR

Approximately $5 in all-time subscription revenue

Android app live on Google Play

Chrome extension live on the Chrome Web Store

Existing user reviews and product feedback

Approximately 2,000 LinkedIn audience

Approximately 200 X/Twitter audience

Live website

The strongest signal at the moment is usage rather than revenue: hundreds of users have already interacted with the product while monetization is still largely unexplored.

Revenue and financials

The app uses a freemium subscription model.

Premium functionality includes stronger digital wellbeing controls such as Strict Mode and Sleep Guard.

Current pricing has included:

₹200/month

₹1,500/year

Current subscription metrics:

MRR: approximately $3

Active subscriptions: 1

Active trials: 0

Revenue during the latest 28-day RevenueCat period: $0

All-time revenue: approximately $5

The project is therefore best viewed as an early-stage product with validated usage rather than an established revenue-generating business.

I have focused primarily on developing the product, publishing it, improving functionality, and validating demand rather than aggressively optimizing monetization.

CAC, LTV, mature churn, and cohort retention have not yet been measured at enough scale to provide reliable figures.

Operating expenses are relatively low because it is primarily a software product and has been run by a solo founder without employees.

Team

It has been built and operated by me as a solo founder and software engineer.

I have handled:

Product strategy

Android development

Backend development

Chrome extension development

UI/UX

Subscription implementation

Google Play publishing

Website development

Analytics

User feedback

Product improvements

Marketing experiments

Landing-page optimization

There are no employees, contractors, or payroll obligations that a buyer would need to inherit.

This makes the project suitable for another developer, indie hacker, mobile app operator, consumer SaaS founder, or digital wellbeing company.

Technology

The product has an existing technical foundation covering the mobile application, browser extension, subscriptions, website, analytics, and supporting infrastructure.

The project includes:

React Native/mobile application code

Android functionality and native integrations

Chrome extension

Backend/API integrations

Subscription and premium-access logic

RevenueCat integration

Google Play billing

Website and landing pages

Product analytics infrastructure

Existing product UI and design assets

A technical buyer can continue development without rebuilding the product from scratch.

Marketing and growth

Growth so far has primarily been organic.

Marketing and distribution experiments have included:

Google Play organic discovery

Founder-led marketing

LinkedIn content

X/Twitter

Product demos

User reviews

Landing-page optimization

Short-form video creatives

Advertising creatives

Word-of-mouth

I have not built a mature paid acquisition engine.

That represents one of the biggest opportunities for a buyer.

A buyer with experience in ASO, TikTok/Reels advertising, influencer marketing, productivity communities, student marketing, parental-control products, SEO, or consumer app growth could test significantly more distribution channels.

Growth opportunities

There are several clear directions for future growth.

A buyer could:

Improve Google Play ASO

Optimize onboarding and activation

Improve free-to-paid conversion

Experiment with subscription pricing

Build referral loops

Partner with productivity creators

Target students and professionals

Expand the parental-control positioning

Add family plans

Build an iOS version

Expand the Chrome extension

Add additional focus and productivity features

Run TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and creator campaigns

Introduce annual and lifetime plans

Improve retention through streaks, insights, challenges, and habit-building features

The current gap is much more about distribution and monetization than building the initial product.

Return on investment

My product is most suitable for a buyer who already understands consumer mobile apps, subscriptions, productivity products, or digital wellbeing.

The buyer avoids much of the work involved in starting from zero.

It already has:

A functioning product

Android distribution

Chrome distribution

Existing users

Subscription infrastructure

Initial paying validation

Existing brand

Website

User reviews

Analytics

Product designs

Existing audience

The exact payback period cannot be responsibly calculated from the current revenue because revenue is still very early.

ROI will depend heavily on the acquisition price and the buyer's ability to improve conversion, retention, pricing, and user acquisition.

For a buyer with an existing consumer-app audience or growth expertise, my product provides a ready-made foundation to experiment with monetization immediately instead of spending months building and publishing a first version.

Current audience/assets include approximately:

350+ installs

469 active RevenueCat customers/users during the latest 28-day period

444 new RevenueCat customers/users during the latest 28-day period

2,000 LinkedIn audience

200 X/Twitter audience

Platform accounts and assets will be transferred or migrated according to the transfer mechanisms permitted by Google, Chrome Web Store, RevenueCat, domain providers, and other relevant services.

Risks

The platform is still an early-stage product, so buyers should consider several risks.

The main risks are:

Revenue is currently very small.

Monetization has not yet been optimized.

Consumer productivity apps can experience significant churn.

User acquisition has not been proven at scale.

Android permissions and OS changes can affect app-blocking functionality.

Google Play policies can change.

The digital wellbeing market includes established competitors.

Current RevenueCat user activity has not yet translated into significant paid conversion.

These risks can potentially be reduced by improving onboarding, premium positioning, pricing, retention, ASO, content marketing, creator distribution, and continuous Android compatibility testing.

Why acquire?

The product is not being sold as a highly profitable SaaS business.

It is being sold as an early-stage consumer software product that has already passed several difficult initial milestones.

The product exists.

It works.

It is published.

Hundreds of users are interacting with it.

The Android application is live.

The Chrome extension is live.

Subscription infrastructure is implemented.

Users have demonstrated willingness to pay, although monetization remains very early.

The brand, website, product, codebase, distribution channels, analytics infrastructure, and initial user base are already in place.

For a buyer who understands mobile app growth, digital wellbeing, productivity, subscriptions, or consumer software, it offers the opportunity to acquire an operating product and focus primarily on growth, monetization, and expansion rather than starting from scratch.

✅ $5 TTM revenue

✅ 1 customer

✅ Business model: Freemium

✅ Built with React Native

Business Model

Freemium subscription model. Core features are free, with premium features available through Pro. Pricing is ₹200/month or ₹1,500/year.

Target Audience

Students, professionals, founders, and anyone struggling with excessive screen time or social media distraction. It is especially useful for people who want stronger blocking than simple reminders.

Asking Price Reasoning

The price includes a working Android app, Chrome extension, website, brand, source code, existing users, subscription setup, and analytics history. It already has hundreds of active users, while monetization and growth are still largely untapped.

Reason for Selling

I’m selling it because I want to focus my time on other startup opportunities. The product is already built, published, and has real users, so I believe a buyer with stronger marketing experience can grow it further.

Growth Opportunity

The biggest opportunity is improving free-to-paid conversion, ASO, creator marketing, and paid acquisition. There is also room to launch iOS, family plans, and expand the Chrome extension.

30 days free support from seller

Competitors

Main competitors include AppBlock, StayFree, ScreenZen, one sec, Freedom, Opal, and Google Digital Wellbeing. My app focuses on stricter enforcement by blocking or closing distracting apps when limits are reached.

Tech Stack

React Native.
